Hello wonderful watchers! Also to those of you who just happened to stumble across this article! Or were you referred here from someone else? Well, whichever, I'm glad you're here! Spread the word, even if you're not interested yourself, maybe someone else you know might be! Thanks so much for reading, and I hope this strikes a cord of interest in you somewhere!
Now, first off, let me explain why you're here. Myself and my dear friend - Shadou Nova - are starting a magazine! But not just any magazine, ladies and gentlemen! It's for demons and demon lovers! *wink* It will be a primarily fandom-going magazine, with everything from the fictional to the factual. Gossip, speculation and facts about various shows! And what do they all have in common? Why, demons of course!
However, we're going to need some serious help to pull this thing off. Meaning, we need staff. Especially if we want to do it monthly like we are planning. As much as I'd like to, I can't do this all by myself, so I need YOUR assistance! Whether it is in the form of donations - money, art or articles - or if you'd like to join our staff, it will be much appreciated.
We understand fully that everyone has a life, and will appropriate your jobs according to how much free-time you have. If you aren't sure you'll have much if any free time then please don't apply to be staff and keep it down to occasionally offering articles and the like. We're going to be very serious about this, so I really need people who can put their time into it and work hard. Now, that doesn't mean I want you avoiding your life and slaving away for the sake of the magazine. No. But if I give my staff an assignment, I need to know they'll have it in by the specified deadline.
The things I really, really need help with are editing, organizing and articles. Also, I need decent artists. I will try my hardest to pay the people on staff, but please bear in mind that should I commission something from someone, they will be paid first. Should I commission an article, or an artwork, that person will be paid before staff. I'd really love not to have to do that by having excellent artists on staff already, but it may happen. Also, if you apply and are accepted as staff, and then at some point you have to go on vacation, let me know. Either provide a replacement or tell Nova that you need a replacement provided, and she will do so. That said, if you would like to apply for replacement positions, an application will be provided for that purpose.
For obvious reasons, you may not be a replacement if you are on staff. You need to focus on your job, not someone else's so that we can get this finished on time. If someone needs help with their article or job, and you are finished with your own - this will be a rule for staff members - then you may email myself or Nova to ask if you can do that. We will probably say yes, but we might have another job that needs doing, in which case, you will refer the person to us and we will provide help for them in your stead.
Donations are very much needed, so if you can spare the money, please do so! They are not necessary, though, so don't feel obligated. If you want to donate, contact a member of staff and they will refer you to the procedures. Please donate all money to either the DA club's donation box, or the provided paypal account.
